Schools of the Sacred Heart – Syufy Theater
2222 Broadway St.
San Francisco, CA

Co-hosted by Breast Cancer Action, Environmental Working Group and San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility

Please join Breast Cancer Action, Environmental Working Group, and San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility for a free public lecture from acclaimed ecologist, activist, and author Sandra Steingraber, PhD. Dr. Steingraber is an award-winning environmental activist and dynamic speaker, and we’re thrilled to host her here in the Bay Area.

Dr. Steingraber will address the growing threat to public health from fracking – and the growing movement to stop this toxic process. On the heels of a big win in New York state to ban fracking entirely, Dr. Steingraber will share her reflections on New York’s success, and how Californians can adapt that successful strategy here at home. Always adept at connecting the dots, Dr. Steingraber will address the bigger picture of how toxic chemicals in our air, water, food, and bodies are a common thread among sometimes disconnected movements in the U.S.

This event is free and open to the public. Capacity is limited so please RSVP here.
